Sardinia Airport
If you fly to Sardinia, you can choose from the three airports on the island. Most flights have the Sardinian capital, Cagliari, as their final destination, but you can also fly to historic Alghero or beautiful Olbia.
Cagliari (CAG)
Sardinia's busiest international airport is located 7 km northwest of Cagliari. Over 3 million international travelers fly to and/or from Cagliari Airport every year. From the airport, you can reach the center of Cagliari in 10 to 15 minutes. The center is easily accessible by bus, taxi, or rental car.
Alghero (AHO)
Alghero Airport is located in the northwest of Sardinia, just 12 km from the city of Alghero. From Alghero Airport, you can also easily reach the city center by bus, taxi, or rental car.
Olbia (OLB)
Sardinia's third international airport is Olbia Airport. You will find this airport in the northeast of Sardinia, just 3 km from the city of Olbia. This airport is ideally located for tourists visiting the exclusive Costa Smeralda.
Choose the airport closest to your accommodation. Cagliari, for example, is located in the south and Alghero in the northwest of Sardinia. Olbia Airport is located in the northeast. Another option is to go inside Italy to take a flight to Sardinia. Great if you want to go on a tour, or add a city off the island to your holiday.
