During your holiday, you can experience real daily Tuscan life, as the apartment is situated within the castle's surrounding borgo houses. The swimming pool, restaurant, and wine cellar make vacationing among the Italians a truly Tuscan experience.

The 6-person apartment is located on the first and second floors and features a cozy living room with a seating area and a fireplace. The dining area and the compact kitchenette with a 4-burner hob, fridge with freezer compartment, dishwasher, moka coffee maker, toaster, and microwave make the stay comfortable and self-sufficient. The three double bedrooms all have an en-suite bathroom with a shower. One bedroom is on the first floor, and the other two bedrooms are on the second floor. There is air conditioning in all rooms. Outside, you can make use of a seating area on the shared terrace. A swimming pool has been built exclusively for holiday guests. The pool with sun terrace is situated on a spacious, fully fenced plot of land. It is not located within the walls of the borgo but outside, a 250-meter walk away. The somewhat steep forest path leading to it is beautiful for walking but certainly requires some effort on the return journey (especially when it is hot), so please keep that in mind. You can also take the path by car (you need a barcode for this, which you can request at the reception). The borgo's restaurant is known for its upscale cuisine, featuring unique Tuscan dishes. We recommend making a reservation at least a week before arrival. On Fridays, a convivial wine tasting is organized in the castle's wine cellar.

Enjoying the surroundings and Tuscan culture

The apartment is located a short distance from the village and the surrounding borgo, where you can discover daily Tuscan life. Stroll through the steep streets, visit picturesque towns such as Montecatini Val di Cecina, Montescudaio, and Bolgheri, or explore historic cities like Volterra. The Tuscan coast and various sandy beaches are about a 30-minute drive away, while the La Riserva Naturale Biogenetica nature reserve invites you to go hiking and cycling. Furthermore, day trips to the larger cities of Pisa and Siena are highly recommended. For an active day out with children, the Il Giardino Sospeso adventure park in Riparbella is a great choice, and there is also a large water park called Acqua Village located nearby. Wellness enthusiasts will also find relaxation at the thermal baths of Sassetta, about 30 kilometers away.
